Awel Mari

Awel draws a lot of portraits in their work, with a particular focus on eyes, noses, and mouths, though they're not quite sure why. They primarily work digitally and take inspiration from movies, TV shows, and comics, such as Arcane, Invincible, the Gwenpool comics, and others. Each time they watch a new show, their style tends to change, much to their amusement.

Awel enjoys drawing sharp and heavy lines with very simple backgrounds, as they aren't particularly fond of drawing detailed backgrounds. They focus a lot on narrative and storytelling, especially when it comes to creating concept artwork for characters, which is mainly the type of project they work on for university. Awel also has a particular fondness for drawing fish, as they think they're really cool!
