Alice Willow

Hiya! My name is Alice and I’m an illustrator from South Wales. My work usually contains feminist themes, and I am passionate about raising awareness of feminist issues and starting conversations through my work. I create my illustrations using traditional media, usually working with oil pastel, charcoal, and acrylic paint, and I usually edit my work using Photoshop.

I am hugely inspired by books, music and film, and my work is sometimes influenced by whatever I am reading/listening to/watching at the time. I love looking into the different themes and messages that drive certain projects, and I like exploring it in my own style and interpretation. You may recognise my Hounds which are becoming a bit of a recurring motif of mine and you can see in the above images.

I am currently working on a series of portraits of ordinary Welsh women who did incredible thing with their lives. These stories are largely unheard of and deserve to be told, and these women deserve to be recognised for the amazing things they did.
